3-Port UNI-Directional Coupler:
  • This directional coupler consists of the main line which carries a larger signal and the coupled line which carries the smaller signal.
  • The coupled line’s one end is internally terminated while the other end functions as a coupled port.
  • For reverse power measurement the orientation of the unit should be physically reversed.

4-Port BI-Directional Coupler:
  • In the Bi-Directional Coupler both the ends of the coupled line functions as the coupled port and no end is terminated.
  • These couplers can measure both forward and reverse power simultaneously.
  • These coupler designs prove to have good directivities only if they are matched with good 50 Ohms loads.

 4-Port DUAL Directional Coupler:
  • These directional couplers comprises of two 3-port Uni-Directional couplers which are connected in tandem.
  • They provide both forward and reverse measurements.
  • Here the directivity of the Dual Directional Coupler does not depend upon the well matched 50 Ohms load as it is in the Bi-Directional Couplers.

RFME has wide range of product line covering a frequency range from 0.1-5000MHz into broadband Dual, Uni- and Bi-directional RF couplers.

They are designed to work in most extreme conditions associated with military and EMC testing environments. These directional couplers have large bandwidths and maintains exceptional coupling flatness, directivity, VSWR and insertion loss. These directional couplers are mismatch tolerant. The broadband high power Bi and Uni-directional RF couplers has very tight coupling values at very low insertion loss. The stripline coupler designs are smaller in size than the traditional coupler designs.

RFME has connectorized RF Directional Couplers available with standard connector options such as N-Female, SMA and BNC. (Please provide your connector configuration so that we can build the RF Coupler to your requirements.) Additional connector options may be available and may affect the cost of your Uni, Bi, or Dual Directional Coupler.
